I fish this boat in the lagoon almost every weekend.  IT gets anywhere you want to go and takes off in anything you want to take off in.  Just as skinny as a Gheenoe and more skinny than the "elite" $30,000-$40,000 flats boats (although the ride is certainly not as smooth in rough).  I will tell you this, it is better than any skiff in the $15,000-$20,000 class such the Mitzi and Carolina Skiffs.  This is all my opinion, so please refrain from the Ankona hate and troll messages. :D

at 2:24 you can see the boat floating in stupid shallow water.

Push Pole and i-Pilot not included.

There are some imperfections on bottom due to poling over oysters.  I also removed a bench that just took up too much room.  I repaired the screw holes for the bench.

I live in Orlando and can take for test runs before 730am or after 6pm on Little Lake Conway at the boat ramp off Hoffner near the church.

    PM me for details.

I have seen threads where people with an affinity for expensive skiffs, hate on good skiffs that may not be so expensive (I.e., Ankona). Ankonas are sweet tho, they are just priced really well. That is why there is an 11 month wait for a custom build.

The way this boat is outfitted and laid out is almost identical to ours, which we've had almost three years. It has taken us from the skinniest water in the lagoon to several miles offshore in the keys and in the gulf.. (on "select" weather days). With the correct trim (we have tabs) it handles unexpected heavy weather and chop extremely well and without heavy pound. Versatility, build strength, reliability and value are second to none. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks, it's a sweet boat. I haven't taken it offshore, but that's just because I like to stalk redfish in the shallows:)

    From Ankona's Website:

    Specifications

    Length:
    17’ 2”

    Beam:
    70”

    Weight:
    250-320 Lbs Hull Only

    Max HP:
    40 for 17’ 2”

I will have to check the trailer when I get home to see if it has the weight on it.
