13 Foot Gheenoe for sale. I believe it’s about an 82 model since the serial number on the back side of the transom ends with 82. It is an older model at any rate. Note the aluminum nose cap and rails. Also the old decal on the side has “Gheenoe” and “Southeastern Fiberglass Company Winder Ga.”, on it.
I replaced the transom last year. I kept all of the original transom walls that I could and just scooped out the rotten wood. Then, I enclosed oak planks in fiberglass and when they hardened, I placed them down in the transom cavity. I filled that with epoxy resin and then laid eight strips of six ounce cloth over the glassed in board on the top. That is why there is a dark green paint job on the inside wall of the transom. There is absolutely no issue with the transom. It is totally solid.
There are two fiberglass mat patches on the floor. They never did leak, they just felt soft so I glassed over them. Still no leaks anywhere. The boat is a dry boat.
The trailer is a home made one of sorts. It is strong, structurally sound, safe and pulls great. There is no tag or title required for trailers in Alabama, just a bill of sale which I’ll of course provide.
The boat is located in Andalusia, Alabama. That is about 90 miles South of Montgomery and about the same distance North of Pensacola. I’ll take $525 Firm for the boat and trailer. My email is riverrat43 at hotmail dot com.
