Hi everyone, I just joined. Occasion is the upcoming slow build of a FS18. (I've built many other boats before). This one will be special, extra light, extra strong. Recycled PET foam core, carbon fiber skins. Will post pics or links as I get going.

Hey, I am about ready to put a 25 hp etec on my FS18. As of now my transom height is 17 inches so was planning on getting the short shaft and cut transom down if I need to. I’m wondering, has anyone put this motor on an FS18? How strongly should I be considering an atlas micro jacker?

Purchased the flexible Taco Marine Rub Rail to install on my FS18. Watched the site video, but curious about any helpful hints or tips to help my install go smoothly? For instance, the video recommends soaking in hot water, but has anyone used a heat gun? Good idea or bad? Thanks, Mike
