High water temps, runoff fertilizer, and high tides making sight fishing tough the last couple of weeks. Esp mid-upper coast Oct 8, 2017

A little more sunshine this spring would be nice.

Texas bays received a much needed fresh water boost this spring and marine life is loving it now.

Hope it stops raining in Texas for a month or two.

Didn't want to clog up that thread: HB question, but since you mentioned a Boston Whaler Outrage I thought I'd share this post I happened to find today: https://spacecoast.craigslist.org/boa/5578485357.html

I know youre on the Gulf Coast but couldn't resist sharing it anyway...

Looking forward to great shrimp and crab hatches in Texas this year. Should be excellent with the nutrient flushes this winter.

Hoping the El Nino weather model predictions for the gulf coast are not accurate

Your profile says you're a guide. What's the name of your outfit? We may know some of the same folks. Headed to La in Dec & have yearly standing poon dates for Fl every year.

I am comfortable fishing out of any port in Texas with Port Mansfield being my favorite. First clients there in August from ChevronPhillips. Let me know if you want to fish this week.

I've met Sommerlatte a couple of time & have some mutual friends. Well hopefully you can get some clientele lined up to your liking. I fish upper coast mostly. There is enough marsh & beach to keep me busy. I fish a charity tourney every year out of Port A but don't get S other than that much. May try to get out for a half day w a buddy on Sat. Might be free Sunday. So what rig do you run?

Bought a HB Pro F60 tiller in August. Sold my interest in a 06 Gordon Waterman 18 2S 70 hp tiller and a 03 HB Glades Skiff 2S 30 hp. to buy the pro. So far I don't miss either one of those skiffs. Although I would have liked to keep the Glades for 4 to 5 inch shallow entrances to some lakes. I will miss that about the Glades. And very easy to push.

Ok, I admit it. I prefer HB skiffs. I have confidence in the little skiffs in tough conditions.
Check my website for a short bio and video reports from the Texas coast.
