Borski's Redfish Slider
This is one of many flies found on Tim Borski's "Borski ties flies" vol. 1 and 2. It has been my #1 go to redfish fly in the Mosquito Lagoon and Florida Bay.
For this fly I used a #2 Mustad 3407. Put the hook in your vise hook point up. Tie on a clump of extra selecr craft fur just in front of the hook bend. Then take a marker (color of your choice) and "bar" (segment) the craft fur. Next you tie on your flash. A few strands for each side.

Tie on two grizzly hackles after the craft fur. These hackles will be palmered forward simultaneously in a second. After you have tied your hackles, tie on a pair of XL beedchain eyes to the bottom of the hook about 1/3 the length of the hook shank back. Palmer the hackles forward and tie off.

Next take a clump of deer body hair a little bigger than the size of a pencil, and place directly on top of the eyes. Next take your thread, wrap the deer hair two times and pill straight down. Flare the deer hair, do not spin. Tie off thread and trim the head.

Last. Add a weed guard. Trust me. Here I used a single piece of 80# mono.

If you want to see Borski tie this fly so you can see all of the techniques involved, borrow his videos from a friend or go buy your own.
